5 Hietasaaren Veisto
Hietasaaren Veisto, sites 4 and 5 form a pair of wooden houses, each with its own tone and style, but sharing the same philosophy of living. These CLT-structured homes are designed to support a sense of community, with a shared summer kitchen and a semi-private garden space at their heart. The architecture is sculptural, bold, and thoughtfully designed.
In Hietasaaren Veisto 5, the atmosphere of the home is completed by a genuine Timberwise wooden floor – a natural, lasting choice that brings warmth and quality to everyday life.
Flooring: Timberwise Douglas Natural 230 mm, Nordic Brushed and Wax Oiled. The wide plank adds natural rhythm and depth to the space. The Nordic tone is harmonious and light. A long-lasting investment that stands the test of time and fits various interior styles. Douglas fir as a flooring material is striking and grand, with its large grain patterns giving it a beautiful appearance.
8-10 Hietasaaren Lyhty
A trio of identical villas reinterprets the villa tradition of Hietasaari with a modern touch. Minimalist forms, expansive glass surfaces, and balconies reaching high above create a striking impression both inside and out.

Flooring: Timberwise Oak Classic 80 x 480 mm Herringbone, Uncolored, Brushed and Matt Lacquered. Herringbone is a designer parquet floor that is always installed by gluing it down to the subfloor. The clear matt lacquer beautifully highlights the wood’s natural grain and tone. It’s an excellent choice for those who appreciate a timeless and long-lasting floor. The matt lacquer provides a durable and elegantly subdued finish. The stairs in this home are also finished with Timberwise Oak Classic 270 mm planks in the same uncolored, brushed, and matt lacquered finish—showcasing just how versatile parquet planks can be! You’ll find Timberwise’s dedicated stand in the carport of Site 8.
10 Hietasaaren Lyhty
Flooring: Timberwise Oak Classic 185 mm, Biscuit Grey, Brushed and Wax Oiled. Biscuit Grey is a beautiful brown shade that strikes a balance between contemporary style and timelessness. The brushed surface feels pleasant underfoot, and the oil wax is an eco-friendly choice—Timberwise’s oil wax is plant-based. The wax oiled surface also allows the wood to breathe, bringing out its warmth while still repelling dirt and moisture.
11 Villa Suoja
In this CLT home, circular economy and sustainable design are reflected in every choice. A brick exterior conceals a bright, harmonious wood interior. A garden sauna-studio completes the home.
Flooring: Timberwise Ash Classic 150 mm, White Wax Oiled, Sanded and Wax Oiled. Subtle, serene, and classic. The translucent oil wax reveals the natural tone of the wood while slightly lightening it. Especially popular in Nordic countries, this floor suits many styles. The UV-hardened oil wax makes it durable and easy to maintain. Ash is a hard, wear-resistant wood with a vivid grain and coloring that make it a favorite. Various finishes make ash flooring uniquely expressive and trendy.
13 Villa Musica
This log home is designed for a music-loving family, with both traditional living spaces and a detached music hall for concerts and rehearsals.
Flooring: Timberwise Oak Classic 185 mm Snöhetta, Brushed and Matt-Lacquered. Natural and light, like freshly planed oak. One of our most popular tones, it’s long-lasting and suits a wide range of styles. Oak is a hard, durable material that fits nearly any interior. The Classic grade highlights the natural grain and color variations of the wood, including small knots and mirror-like medullary rays that reflect oak’s authenticity.
16 Kontio Vehmas
This single-story log house opens onto a peaceful courtyard. The design emphasizes privacy and practicality, offering three bedrooms, a garden sauna, and a terrace.
Flooring: Timberwise Oak Select 230 mm Biscuit Grey, Brushed and Wax Oiled. Biscuit Grey is a light brown shade with a soft hint of gray – a perfect choice for those seeking a neutral brown that’s not too dark or warm. Also excellent at hiding dust. The Select grade features minimal knots and a more uniform tone. Natural variations such as filled pin knots and medullary ray patterns are allowed.
17 Ainoakoti Villa Peak
This three-part architectural ensemble serves both everyday living and special occasions. The spiral staircase, rooftop terrace, and separate metal workshop make this home truly one-of-a-kind.
Flooring: Timberwise Ash Classic 150 mm Snow White, Sanded and Wax Oiled. A beautiful, translucent white finish that enhances brightness and suits various styles. The UV-hardened oil wax highlights the wood grain while ensuring durability and easy maintenance. Ash’s lively grain and varied coloring make it a favorite, and different finishes bring out its character in unique ways.
19–20 Hietasaari Gård
A shared-living concept for four families, made up of small homes and a communal yard. The architecture is inspired by local heritage, with shared facilities including a sauna, workshop, and terrace. Two homes from this group are open to fair visitors.

Flooring: Timberwise Oak Classic 185 x 925 mm Herringbone Nordic, Brushed and Matt-Lacquered. A timeless and light tone, Nordic fits many styles. The unique feature here is the ladder-patterned herringbone layout – truly one-of-a-kind. Brushed surface is pleasant underfoot and ideal for families with pets and children, as it hides scratches better than smooth sanded finishes. The matt lacquer provides a durable, refined matte surface.
Hietasaari Gård (House C – not open to the public)
Flooring: Timberwise Oak Classic 110 x 660 mm Herringbone Sky White, Brushed and Matt-Lacquered. Sky White is a light and clear tone, reminiscent of planed oak with a touch of white. A minimalist look well-suited to Scandinavian style. The Oak Classic grade ensures a natural and safe floor, while the herringbone pattern adds timeless elegance.
20 Hietasaari’s Gård (House D)
Flooring: Timberwise Oak Classic 185 mm Snöhetta, Brushed and Matt-Lacquered. Snöhetta is a naturally light tone that pairs well with a variety of interior styles. Oak is a stable, reliable choice, and the Classic grade adds individual character through natural grain and variation. This flooring is located on the upper floor, not open to the public.
