“Our floor is wonderfully eye-catching, along with the magnificent view of Lake Saimaa”
We built a house in the Kirkonvarkaus region of Mikkeli in the housing fair summer of 2017. The two-storey stone house on the shore of Lake Saimaa was a dream come true for us. Despite the hustle and bustle of the housing fair, we built the house just for ourselves. It is home to two adults, our four children and our little dog Hupi, and it’s a great blend of practicality and a suitable amount of luxury.
We wanted to invest in top-quality surface materials and timeless style. The light and Scandinavian shades have proven to be every bit as good as we hoped. For the floors, we decided on Timberwise Oak Arctic Herringbone flooring downstairs, and normal wooden flooring upstairs.
The floor is durable and easy to care for. The wooden flooring with the herringbone pattern in the living room in particular was often admired at the fair. And for good reason: it’s a real eye-catcher, a perfect match for the magnificent view of Lake Saimaa. On behalf of Casa Wellikulho, co-owner of the home Timo Welsby, Team WelliKulho (@casawellikulho)
