Timberwise, leading Finnish manufacturer of wooden flooring, will launch a new floor model at the beginning of February. The collaboration with interior designer Joanna Laajisto arose as a natural continuum from the needs of her customers.<\/em><\/p>\n\"\"\n

The sound of happy chatter and excitement has continued to fill the Timberwise showroom into the new year, as its latest floor model has received the attention it deserves. In designing the Punos floor, interior designer Joanna Laajisto\u2019s core values of functionality, quality and aesthetics met their perfect match in Timberwise.<\/p>\n

The idea for her design stems from the needs of the customers of her design company Studio Joanna Laajisto. Their increasing interest in quality flooring spurred Joanna to create a new design floor model. She focused on a classical model that suits different types of interiors from 1960s row houses to century-old period homes.<\/p>\n

Joanna was familiar with Timberwise as a company, so kickstarting the partnership was effortless despite the new venture. Punos may have been her first ever floor model, yet already the first design was so functional it required no adjustments. A contributing factor was that Joanna was well versed with the Timberwise collection after Studio Joanna Laajisto had previously designed the company\u2019s Helsinki showroom.<\/p>\n

As a designer, Joanna effortlessly created a model that is not only stunning to look at but convenient and ecological to produce. The dimensions of the model made from oak, ash or larch are an ideal fit for the width of Timberwise floorboards.<\/p>\n
