Timberwise participated in Habitare, the Finnish Interior, Design & Furniture Fair, and the company’s floor and wall products, as well as the LADON Ovi sliding door manufactured in collaboration with Mirror Line, were showcased at a total of ten stands.
As a whole, this year’s Habitare provided a stunning and versatile overview of the current interior, furniture, and design trends. Timberwise’s products were represented at ten stands: A-lehdet/Honka, Familon Oy, Bo LKV, Taito Group Finland, Signals, Asun (magazine), Lasilinkki, Mirror Line, and Johanna Gullichsen. This year, Timberwise did not have a stand of its own, but next year the company will be splendidly represented at Habitare in celebration of its 20th anniversary. We’ll see you then!
Commendation for the best stand at the fair
The Association of Finnish Interiors Journalists selected the best stands at the fair, and Innolux’s stand, where the Snöhetta wooden floor was used, received a commendation. The tone is one of the most popular ones, and it suited the stand’s style perfectly. The following grounds were provided for the choice: ‘The stand which has been constructed around the lighting fixtures and the welcoming interior show how to illuminate a home.’
Cara McCarty, the International Friend of Habitare in 2018, who acts as the curatorial director for the Cooper Hewitt, the Smithsonian Design Museum, selected the most interesting products and phenomena from among the Habitare offering. As the most interesting stand, she selected the Asun stand, where Timberwise’s TXT wall, designed by Ville Kokkonen, was displayed impressively. This is how McCarty justified her choice: ‘A truly beautiful stand full of Finnish character. The stand is a prime example of how important the attractive presentation of products is at a trade fair. Really beautiful to look at.’
New products and the LADON Ovi product launch
At the Habitare fair, Timberwise also introduced two new floor products: the oak Chevron, which was displayed at the Signals stand in the Smoked tone, and the long Viisto, which was displayed at the stands of Bo LKV and Taito Group Finland. A new collaboration with Mirror Line was also launched at the fair. The collaboration enables the acquisition of customised sliding doors manufactured from Timberwise’s products.
